The RIB Method – a research-based foundation

The RIB Method was developed by our founder, veterinarian and researcher Maria Terese Engell.
The method provides you with a structured system you can use in your teaching:

1. Analyze and correct position
Learn how to identify movement patterns and asymmetries – and how to correct them effectively.

2. Correct riding technique
Clear explanations and practical approaches to correct riding technique that you can use in lessons to help your students develop proper technique.

3. Adaptation to each individual horse
Understand how the rider’s position affects the horse’s movement – and how to adapt as a rider to the horse’s needs.

The RIB Method is used by trainers and riders worldwide

Our founder, Maria Terese Engell, has researched how to teach riders in the most effective way. The research project she was part of was named Research Project of the Year by the Swedish Foundation for Equine Research (Stiftelsen Hästforskning).
