The RIB Method – a research-based foundation

The RIB Method was developed by our founder, veterinarian, and researcher Maria Terese Engell.
The method gives you a system you can use in your teaching:

  1. Analyze and correct position
Learn to identify movement patterns and asymmetries—and how to correct them effectively.

  2. Correct riding technique
Clear explanations and step-by-step approaches to correct riding technique that you can use in lessons to help your students develop the right technique.

  3. Adapting to each individual horse
Understand how the rider’s position affects the horse’s movement—and how riders can adapt to the horse’s needs.

The RIB Method is used by coaches and riders all over the world

Our founder, Maria Terese Engell, has researched how to teach riders as effectively as possible. The research project she took part in was named Research Project of the Year by the Swedish-Norwegian Foundation for Equine Research (Stiftelsen Hästforskning).

With RIB, you get teaching tools built on documented knowledge and the real needs of the field.
